You are a purist who does not want to sacrifice quality.
A good source device, a pair of reasonable speakers and an amplifier.
An eye-catcher for every system!

The figure shows an example of the mfe TA 156 integrated amplifier with 1 input in a triangular housing. All single-ended amplifiers can be ordered in a rectangular housing or in a triangular housing (according to customer requirements), see mfe TA 845 V SE. All amplifiers can also be operated as mono block (double output power), allowing you to combine 2 power amplifiers with the preamp mfe Tube One SE. Instead of the EL156 end tube, many other configurations are possible ex works, e.g. with 6AS7G/6080/6550/EL509/300B/2 A3/KT88/… The motherboard here allows all circuit variants.

In our larger single-ended amplifiers (see mfe TA 845 V SE), we also use the 211, 805 and 6C33 in addition to the 845. These units in a rectangular and triangular housing do not have an additional rectifier tube. The amplifiers all sound very balanced, bass-heavy and round. Due to the neutral balancing, they are suitable for every genre of music. Depending on the end tube, the output power is up to about 17 watts/channel.

... yeah, the thing with the MFE TA156 was so vague, because I only knew the device roughly from hearsay, and since I hardly ever manage to test all interesting devices before a purchase, I said to myself: just give it a shot, and try this exciting device. The new amp, however, should definitely be better than what I had been listening to so meticulously at my home. I will gladly pass on by phone what I heard on other devices; right now I am enjoying the MFE TA156. Yes, and I only hear solid sound, with focus on the essentials. What I enjoy so much about the MFE TA156 is the easy access to the music, which is immediately audible without making long A-B comparisons. That's how it has to be; in the best case it just has to ‘click’. The particularly striking feature is the timing and the rhythm, especially of drums and other rhythmic bass instruments, which jump out at me in the most musical and colourful way. The drive is right; your feet are tapping; that's all you need. And the MFE TA156 plays exactly with these details, without denying being a tube. Anyway, I look forward every day to activate the power switch on this battleship Potemkin – yeah I really like the look of the speaker. Reference no.: 2228
